Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. You will receive shipments, process purchase orders, verify inventory, and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.

Responsibilities include unloading freight, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. You will operate scan guns, use inventory systems, and communicate discrepancies while supporting other

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to company SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to accurately document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies in PO, DC, and vendor data.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with stock during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and rack organization.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Cross-train and support other store departments as needed.
