Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Midland, MI seeks a Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department. You will apply ionizing radiation to adult and geriatric patients, operate radiation-producing equipment, and follow safety protocols to accurately deliver prescribed therapy.

You will verify treatment calculations, assist in device fabrication, document in patient records, supervise students, and participate in quality checks and process improvements while complying with state and ARRT

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; radiation therapy training or school completion preferred.
• ARRT registration or eligible within 1 year of employment; certification desired.
• BLS: Basic Life Support certification required.
• Minimum 6 months clinical Radiation Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed dose of radiation accurately per protocol.
• Document treatment parameters in patient records.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to ensure safety.
• Assist in fabrication of treatment devices and patient setup.
• Supervise students and contribute to clinical education.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and billing practices.
