Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in Michigan seeks a part-time Radiation Therapist. Under the supervision of a radiation oncologist and alongside a certified Radiation Therapist, you will assist in the treatment process, review records, prepare rooms, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology with a one-year Radiation Therapy program, ARRT certification or registry-eligible, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology with one year in Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT certification or registry-eligible with eligibility deadline within 6 months of hire.
• BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Review patient treatment records for completeness.
• Confer with physicians, physics/dosimetry, and colleagues as needed.
• Review electronic chart (Aria) for consistency, completeness, and accuracy prior to treatment.
• Prepare treatment room and equipment per procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure understanding.
• Follow positioning standards and treatment processes per policy.
• Monitor patient during procedures and report changes.
• Assist in simulation and treatment planning as needed.
• Acquire CBCT or portal imaging as prescribed and verify alignment.
• Schedule patients for treatment and simulations in Aria.
