Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, MI is seeking a Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department to apply ionising radiation to adults, operate radiation-producing equipment, and follow safety protocols per the Radiation Oncologist's prescriptions.

The role requires ARRT registration or registry eligible within one year, BLS-CPR certification, and a minimum of 6 months clinical experience in Radiation Therapy.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy School.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and registered within one year of employment.
• Must be BLS-CPR certified.
• A minimum of 6 months clinical experience in Radiation Therapy, which is equivalent to one-year clinical experience, gained from an accredited radiation Therapy School.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the prescribed dose of radiation accurately; verify treatment values and prescription.
• Take weekly verification films and ensure proper immobilisation.
• Assist physicians with procedures and advise on technical limitations of equipment or patients.
