McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a qualified Radiation Therapist to administer daily treatments and simulations, QA the linear accelerator, and monitor patient status. You will work under supervision to ensure safe, accurate, and timely care for patients across ages.

Requirements include a completed accredited radiation therapy or radiologic technology program, ARRT certification or eligibility, and a minimum of three years’ experience. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited radiation therapy program or radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC or Canadian equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Radiation Therapist.

Responsabilités

• Administer daily radiation treatments and simulations as prescribed.
• Perform QA testing on linear accelerator for accurate treatments.
• Review and update patient charts; monitor changes and document status.
• Maintain treatment room flow and prepare equipment for each patient.
• Explain procedures and emergency steps to patients during treatment.
• Participate in port film imaging and monitor beam distance for QA.
• Maintain patient markings to ensure treatment reproducibility.
• Obtain diode readings for each field for beam QA.
• Assist in quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Orient and train new staff; support workflow and regulatory compliance.
