Job summary

rms Company in Minnesota provides contract manufacturing for high-quality medical implants and sub-assemblies. The Quality Inspector role ensures product compliance with quality and industry specifications on the production floor, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

The position requires attention to detail, the ability to read customer drawings, and proficiency with inspection tools. First shift: Mon-Fri 6:00am–2:30pm. Join a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance.
• Ability to work from customer supplied drawings and specifications.
• Communicate inspection results with team members.
• Shift priorities to support production inspection needs.
• Manage multiple requirements and deadlines.
• Mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to use a microscope and hand tools.
• Cross-train in other areas of production when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of received materials, components, and assemblies for quality, appearance, and performance.
• Interpret and document inspection and testing results.
• Report and isolate non-conforming product.
• Operate precision testing equipment including Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems.
• Support and comply with ISO and medical device requirements.
• Read and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
• Maintain an organized work area and participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
