Job summary

rms Company, part of the Cretex Medical family, is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 1st shift in Minnesota. You will inspect materials, components, and assemblies for quality, document results, and isolate non-conforming products.

You will operate CMM, vision systems, and microscopes while ensuring adherence to ISO and medical device standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance.
• Ability to read customer drawings and specifications.
• Ability to communicate inspection results with team members.
• Ability to quickly shift priorities in production inspection.
• Mechanical aptitude with dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Willingness to cross-train in other production areas.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of received materials, components, and assemblies relating to quality, appearance, and performance.
• Interpret and accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
• Report and isolate non-conforming product.
• Use a variety of inspection measurement tools and gauges (Microscope, Caliper, Gage Pins, Indicators, Thread Gauges, Profilometer, Optical Comparator, Microscopes).
• Operate precision testing equipment including but not limited to Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems.
• Support and comply with the Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Partner with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
• Understand customer needs and core business markets.
• Maintain an organized work area (5S) and participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
