Job summary

B&J Medical LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Kendallville, IN. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and medical device standards.

You’ll document results and support internal audits and continuous improvement. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of quality control or inspection experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of quality control or inspection experience preferred; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages.
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as production needs require.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify drawings and specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and inspection requirements.
• Document inspection results and maintain records per procedures.
• Conduct process and system audits and support quality/compliance activities.
• Identify nonconforming product and recommend corrective actions.
• Review Device History Records for completeness and compliance.
• Communicate findings with Production and Quality Assurance to address issues.
• Assist in developing and revising inspection procedures and checklists.
• Support root cause investigation and continuous improvement initiatives.
