Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Quality Inspector I to perform basic inspections and sorting of incoming materials, supporting the Operations team in Danvers, MA. The role emphasizes precise measurement, documentation, and regulatory compliance to ensure product quality.

The position requires a High School diploma, 1 year or less in manufacturing, and familiarity with gages and microscopes. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• 1 year or less in a manufacturing environment - Medical device experience a plus.
• Ability to use inspection gages and microscopes
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs and inspection procedures
• Basic knowledge in math
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision
• Computer literacy required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Knowledge in ISO and GMP. US FDA 21 CFR QSR and ISO 13485 a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of purchased parts according to well-defined criteria using standard visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements
• Ability to perform visual inspection on large lots size under a microscope.
• Accurately document the results of inspections and testing
• Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform data entry into associated data systems.
