Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with drawings, work orders, and quality standards.

You will use precision measuring tools (Micro-Vu, Keyence, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers) and document inspection results, support nonconformance reports, and collaborate across departments to maintain traceability and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints with GD&T know-how and inspection methods.
• Mathematical aptitude with units, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
• Five years of related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.
• Effective written and verbal communication; professional interactions.
• Experience with CMM is preferred but not required; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products per specs and quality standards.
• Operate measurement equipment (Micro-Vu, Keyence, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers).
• Complete inspection records and documentation with accuracy and traceability.
• Identify non-conformances and generate nonconformance reports as required.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and accurate throughout each stage of the process.
• Collaborate with peers and other departments to maintain a cohesive team.
