Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Quality Inspector in Allendale, MI to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections, use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM, and document findings to support continuous improvement.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years in quality inspection, ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and a keen eye for detail. Salary ranges from $45,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and identify non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures as required.
• Collaborate with production personnel to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and quality control processes.
