Job summary

AKG North America in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect purchased parts and cooling packages, ensuring blueprint specifications match using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other tools. If a part is defective, it should be returned to the appropriate department for repair.

The role requires reading and interpreting orders and blueprints, operating FARO or Keyence Laser equipment, and documenting measurements to ensure compliance with print specs.

Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing experience.
• Quality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints; locate and use FARO or Keyence Laser programs to verify measurements.
• If FARO Arm or Keyence Laser are not used, utilize manual tools for measurement.
• Operate the FARO arm or Keyence Laser; if the part meets all print specs, stamp the part, document, and save data.
• Move accepted parts to the next step in the process.
• Fill out a Nonconformance tag if defects are found; return the part to the correct department or Supervisor.
• Report issues to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed.
• Regular attendance is required. Refer to AKG's attendance policy in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
• Follow all policies and requirements of AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
