Job summary

AKG of America, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify blueprint specifications using CMMs and laser measurement tools. You will inspect purchased parts and cooling packages, stamp compliant pieces, and document data for traceability.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to read blueprints. Expect to work with FARO/Keyence equipment and manual tools as needed, while adhering to EMS policies and attendance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret detailed work orders and blueprints to verify measurements.
• Solid math skills and ability to use measuring tools.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints; locate and use FARO or Keyence Laser programs to verify measurements.
• If FARO Arm or Keyence Laser are not used, utilize manual tools for measurement.
• Operate the FARO arm or Keyence Laser; if the part meets all print specs, stamp the part, document, and save data.
• Move accepted parts to the next step in the process.
• Fill out a Nonconformance tag if defects are found; return the part to the correct department or Supervisor.
• Report issues to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed.
• Regular attendance is required. Refer to AKG's attendance policy in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
• Follow all policies and requirements of AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
