Job summary

Tri-Mack Plastics in Bristol, Rhode Island, a longtime manufacturer of high‑temperature thermoplastic components for aerospace and medical markets, seeks a Quality Control Inspector (2nd shift). This role inspects incoming materials and finished parts, performs first piece, in-process and final inspections, and documents results with micrometers, calipers and an optical comparator.

You will use the CMM system, read blueprints, and support audits while maintaining quality records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years in a Quality Control role in manufacturing.
• Experience with manual micrometers, calipers and optical comparators.
• Vision system inspection experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and prioritize information; work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform first piece inspection, in-process and final inspection; verify conformance to prints and specifications.
• Assist in gauge calibration, inventory, and nonconforming parts assessment as per Quality Manual.
• Support onboarding and cross-training in CNC and other processes.
• Investigate product quality issues to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Assist Lead Quality Technician in pre-inspection and screening.
• Ensure production staff understand drawings and measurement requirements.
• Record measurements and findings in Visual Manufacturing, Excel, and customer files.
• Maintain safety and adhere to AS9100 requirements; participate in audits.
