Job summary

Tri-Mack Plastics in Bristol, Rhode Island, is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for the 2nd shift. You will inspect incoming material, perform 1st piece and final inspections, and document results with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and an optical comparator, while reading blueprints and supporting audits.

You will help ensure that highly engineered parts meet prints, use our CMM system, and contribute to continuous quality improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years working in a Quality Control position in manufacturing.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers and optical comparators.
• Vision system inspection experience is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to analyze information.
• Ability to work independently and with computers (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform first piece, in-process and final inspections; receive inspections and validate material conformance.
• Assist with gauge calibration, inventory and nonconforming parts assessment.
• Develop new skills across departments; learn CNC and other processes during onboarding.
• Investigate product quality issues, determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Support audits and document measurements and findings in appropriate records.
• Ensure drawings and parts measurements are understood by Production workers.
• Maintain safety, ethics and Tri-Mack values in daily work.
