Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is hiring an Incoming Quality Inspector for the Receiving Inspection team on 1st shift. The role inspects incoming material for Production Solutions, collaborating with logistics to verify supplier quality.

Shift is 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with hourly rate of $24.79, located at our Wendell, NC facility. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of inspection experience, blueprint reading, and welding symbol tolerance knowledge, plus strong English and lifting capability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience inspecting electrical and mechanical components.
• 3+ years reading mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years inspecting welded components using welding symbols/tolerances.
• 3+ years using tape measures, calipers, height gauges.
• Full proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Proven record in quality and productivity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers, factory personnel and 3rd party suppliers to ensure inspection tools are calibrated.
• Work with purchasing and engineering to resolve non-conformances for finished goods.
• Drive continuous improvement activities within teams and departments.
• Use SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel in daily work.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Be a strong team player.
