Job summary

GTI Fabrication is seeking a QC Technician to inspect materials and finished products across production stages, ensuring compliance with laws, codes, and customer specifications.

The role requires 1-3 years in quality control and 2-5 years in inspection/production in metals fabrication, plus welding inspection experience and strong Excel skills. Must read drawings and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years quality control experience.
• 2-5 years inspection/production experience in metals fabrication.
• Visual weld inspection experience.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, and standards.
• Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
• Perform inspections across all production stages.
• Prepare and maintain test data for review.
• Evaluate data and draft deviation reports.
• Identify quality control improvement opportunities and implement new methods.
• Communicate quality concerns with urgency.
• Other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.
