Job summary

WBM INC in Wheeling, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our CNC machine shop. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, offering a hands-on role in a precision manufacturing environment where quality matters and career growth is encouraged.

You will inspect parts, use calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, read drawings including GD&T, and maintain QC documentation.

Qualifications

Experience in quality control or inspection within a CNC or precision machining environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

Inspect CNC machined parts and components for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part quality.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records.
Identify, tag, and report non-conforming parts and coordinate with machinists on corrective actions.
Perform in-process and final inspections throughout the production workflow.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve overall product quality.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, and internal quality standards.
