Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our Westfield, MA production team on the 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3:00pm–1:30am).

The role involves inspecting, rewinding and preparing finished label products for shipment, ensuring every order meets Inovar's quality standards and customer specifications. You will identify print defects, verify color, registration, print quality and barcode readability, and maintain quality records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing or printing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify print defects.
• Ability to read work orders and customer specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate label rewind and inspection equipment to inspect finished labels prior to shipment.
• Perform 100% visual inspection of printed labels for quality and accuracy.
• Verify customer specifications including color consistency, registration, print quality, variable data, barcode readability, die-cut accuracy, label count, core size, roll direction, and splice requirements.
• Identify missing print, ink smears, registration issues, missing labels, and print imperfections; remove defective material.
• Accurately complete quality documentation and production records.
• Label, package, and prepare finished rolls for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Communicate quality concerns to Production, Quality Assurance, and Supervisors.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and organization and follow GMP and safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve quality.
