Job summary

Resource Label Group in Peabody, MA is seeking a 2nd Shift Finishing Operator to set up and run commercial label inspector machines, ensuring visual quality control. You will slit printed material into strips of specified width and oversee the flow of product through the finishing line.

The role requires basic manufacturing experience, ability to read job specifications, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM with $1.00/hr differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Good organizational and time management abilities are expected.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive job assignments from Finishing Supervisor or Team Lead and select cores and rewind method.
• Review job jacket to ensure finishing, packaging, and shipping specs are met.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and package items for shipment.
• Monitor material flow to detect irregular cutting and winding.
• Maintain quality of color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity.
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Replace blades on inspection machines as needed.
• Complete paperwork for each job and prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; maintain housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
