Job summary

TOPS Staffing in Glenshaw, PA seeks an experienced Punch Press Operator for a full-time role. You will set up and operate punch press equipment to produce metal components per drawings and production specs. Shift is Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with pay $19-$23 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with punch press, stamping press, or metal fabrication preferred.
• Experience performing machine setups and tooling changes is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining quality standards.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mechanical or hydraulic punch press equipment.
• Install, align, and change punches, dies, and related tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and basic technical drawings.
• Load and position sheet metal or other materials into the press.
• Adjust machine settings based on material type and production requirements.
• Inspect completed parts for proper dimensions, appearance, and overall quality.
• Use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Identify equipment or quality issues and make basic operating adjustments.
• Maintain accurate production counts and complete required documentation.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper machine-guarding and lockout/tagout practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
