Manpower Group (USA) is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in Allentown, PA to recruit a Press Set Up Technician for the 1st shift. The role focuses on safely loading and aligning dies, setting press parameters, and ensuring high-quality setup for production runs.

You will verify part dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, troubleshoot setup issues, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of stamping presses and related tooling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, position, and align heavy dies using overhead cranes, forklifts, and die carts.
• Set press parameters including stroke, shut height, feed length, and tonnage according to spec sheets.
• Install and adjust auxiliary equipment such as coil feeders, straighteners, uncoilers, and scrap cutters.
• Conduct trial runs and use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions against blueprints.
• Identify and correct setup errors, die alignment issues, or mechanical malfunctions before releasing the press to production.
