Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely load, position, and align heavy dies using overhead cranes, forklifts, and die carts.
• Set press parameters including stroke, shut height, feed length, and tonnage according to spec sheets.
• Install and adjust auxiliary equipment such as coil feeders, straighteners, uncoilers, and scrap cutters.
• Conduct trial runs and use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions against blueprints.
• Identify and correct setup errors, die alignment issues, or mechanical malfunctions before releasing the press to production.

What's the Job?

• Safely load, position, and align heavy dies using overhead cranes, forklifts, and die carts.

Required

• Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Setup Technician, Setup Mechanic, or similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of stamping presses and related tooling.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Preferred

• Experience with progressive dies and metal stamping operations.
• Forklift certification and/or overhead crane experience.
• Preventive maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
