Job summary

Leader Tech in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Metal Forming Setup Technician to set up and troubleshoot single station presses and press brakes for precision sheet metal parts. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, verify part quality, and support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will perform tool and die setup, first article inspection, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up single station presses and press brakes.
• Ability reading blueprints, work orders and drawings.
• Experience with first article inspection and calipers/micrometers.
• Capable of troubleshooting tooling and forming issues to minimize downtime.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust tooling for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Verify part quality during production with precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot forming issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep the work area safe.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Metal Forming Setup Technician to set up, troubleshoot, and operate single station presses and press brakes used in the production of precision sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience performing machine setups, reading blueprints, verifying part quality, and supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Troubleshoot tooling and forming issues to minimize downtime.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain part quality throughout production.
• Work closely with engineering, tooling, and production personnel.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report equipment issues.
