Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Newaygo manufacturers to hire a skilled Press Operator / Setup for a fast-paced production environment. The role offers competitive pay and opportunities across West Michigan.

You will operate and monitor presses, perform setups and changeovers, conduct in-process quality checks, document production, and follow safety protocols to deliver quality parts on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics and work instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting.
• Capable of using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing presses to produce parts per specs.
• Perform setup and changeover procedures for presses and tooling adjustments.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Interpret and follow work orders, blueprints, and schedules.
• Maintain production records and required documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep work area clean.
