Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. is seeking a Press Operator in Columbus, OH to operate automatic stamping presses and support LEAN production goals. The role emphasizes safety, accurate measurements, and teamwork on the manufacturing floor.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, on-site, with daytime hours and potential overtime based on business needs. Strong attention to detail and basic measurement skills are required, with rewards including quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Safety: able to prioritize safety and maintain a safe work environment.
• Able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance, use protractor to measure angles to +/- 1 degree, and use micrometer and caliper.
• Physical demands: able to stand long shifts and lift up to 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic stamping presses to support department and company goals.
• Use powered hand tools to adjust equipment as needed.
• Communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements.
• Assist other associates with press set-ups and changeovers.
• Perform quality inspections to blueprints and specifications using precision measuring tools.
• Count, package and palletize finished product according to work orders.
• Ensure auxiliary equipment is operating to standard and maintain LEAN/6S standards.
