Job summary

Geater Machining and Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Press Brake operator to set up and operate forming machines to fabricate parts. You will read blueprints, measure parts, and ensure quality throughout production.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and ability to work with others in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience is a plus, with an emphasis on safe operation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, specifications, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Calculate figures and formulas that pertain to the work area.
• Problem-solve undefined expectations.
• Computer literate.
• Work well in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work orders, work pieces, and blueprints.
• Set up and operate machines as required to manufacture parts.
• Check parts throughout production run, using company supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability of process.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and blue prints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
• Accurately fill out work order routers with correct quantity of good parts and scrap parts.
