Job summary

Paragon Furniture is seeking a Press Brake Operator to set up, operate, and maintain press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. The operator ensures parts meet dimensional specifications while following safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, loading sheets, performing inspections, and maintaining production records. The role requires basic math, 50-lb lifting ability, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately.
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC or manual press brake machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Select tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job.
• Program bends at the machine when allowed.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers and micrometers.
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Load and unload metal sheets and finished parts safely.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and quality staff to resolve issues.
