Job summary

IES is seeking a Press Brake Operator in the United States (Calera, AL) to operate brake press machines and form metal components according to engineering specs. This role requires precision, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, the ability to interpret blueprints, and good teamwork skills to ensure accurate production and timely completion of jobs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools preferred.
• Previous brake press or metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines per specifications.
• Read blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Ensure correct alignment of parts before bending.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Report equipment issues to supervision promptly.
• Assist with material handling as needed.
