Standard Sheet Metal is seeking a Press Brake Operator to set up and run Cincinnati press brakes, forming metal parts to exact specs. The role demands reading blueprints, selecting tooling, and ensuring tolerances are met.

Qualified applicants typically have a HS diploma and 3–6 months on-the-job experience, plus math, measurement and safety skills. Overtime is available but not mandatory, supporting a stable, team-oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• Reads job routings and blueprints for product specifications such as material, dimensions and tolerances.
• Sets up press brake tooling and adjusts dies for accuracy.
• Checks formed parts with measuring tools and records inspection data.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Reads job routings and blueprints for product specifications such as material, dimensions and tolerances.
• Selects positions and secures tooling and dies.
• Positions stock or part in the press and initiates bending/forming sequence.
• Checks formed part dimensions with measuring tools and verifies first piece inspection.
