Horizon LTC Pharmacy in Kalamazoo, MI is hiring an Order Entry Specialist to accurately input new prescriptions, refills, and patient details into our pharmacy system. The role requires a Licensed or Certified Pharmacy Technician background and emphasizes timely order processing for long-term care patients.

Qualifications

• Active State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
• Previous long-term care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input prescription and refill orders into pharmacy software.
• Manage incoming orders and prioritize urgent requests.
• Communicate with providers, clinics, and healthcare staff to clarify prescription details.
• Contact provider offices for refill authorizations.
• Resolve order discrepancies, insurance issues, and billing questions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of orders and communications.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
