Job summary

Trinity Health MI in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Pharmacy Technician – Closed-Door Pharmacy to support medication order processing for long-term care facilities. The role offers comprehensive training starting with medication packaging and progressing to order entry and customer service responsibilities.

Under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, you will process orders, learn QS1 and DocuTrack, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with pharmacists to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Preferred completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Two years of college with emphasis in math, science, or medical field applications (preferred).
• Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare medication orders for contracted facilities.
• Learn and operate pharmacy packaging and workflows.
• Enter and process prescription orders in the pharmacy system.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely service and regulatory compliance.
• Answer inquiries from facilities, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
