Job summary

Xanfab Space is seeking an Assembly Technician to support PCBA production through hands-on soldering, assembly, and rework. The role ensures build quality, inventory accuracy, and conformity to drawings.

The ideal candidate has hands-on soldering experience, sharp attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment where contributions are visible and directly add value. Day shift with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 Class 3 certification required; re-certification available if lapsed.
• Minimum 2+ years in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
• Soldering/desoldering of through-hole and SMT components with microscope.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ESD S20.20 ESD control requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency (work orders, MES/ERP).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework, and repair small electrical sub-assemblies per work instructions and IPC standards.
• Maintain component inventory traceability with configuration tools.
• Keep internal documentation organized and up to date.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
