Job summary

Aimtron Corporation is seeking a Hand Soldering Technician to join our Palatine, IL manufacturing team. You will perform precision hand soldering of PCBAs, read assembly docs, and ensure workmanship meets IPC and J-STD-001 standards across SMT and PTH components.

The role supports prototype and production builds in a contract electronics environment, requires 3+ years of soldering experience, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work in an ESD-controlled facility on 1st shift from 7:00

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hand soldering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience soldering both SMT and PTH components.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision hand soldering of SMT and PTH components, including fine-pitch devices and connectors.
• Carry out minor component replacement and touch-up soldering as needed.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and customer docs.
• Inspect solder joints for IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 compliance.
