Job summary

Aimtron Corporation in Palatine, IL is seeking an SMT Operator to support our electronics manufacturing lines. You will operate surface-mount equipment and help maintain quality records while collaborating with the SMT team and production staff.

The role requires familiarity with SMT processes, ability to read component packages, perform setup/teardown, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Training is provided to cover screen printers, pick-and-place, and reflow ovens.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronic components and the ability to work in a production line environment required.
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team.
• Ability to follow Manager's/Supervisor's Instructions.
• Ability to communicate well with Manager/Supervisor/Customers.
• ESD Training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT).
• Ability to identify component packages and values.
• Set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printers, Pick N Place, and Reflow Ovens (Training Available).
• Perform machine set-up/tear down and cleanup according to procedures.
• Document and maintain quality records for machine set up, feeder exchanges and 1st Article inspection results according to procedures.
• Able to perform visual inspections of SMT Assemblies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working area.
• Communicate machine operation status and errors to SMT Support Staff./Production Supervisor.
• Work with other team members to implement quality and performance improvement.

Facility: Aimtron Corporation & Aimtron System.

Total Openings: 3.

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (07.00 AM - 03.30 PM).

Job Function:
