Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Touch-Up / Rework Technician (Second Shift) to diagnose, repair, and rework PCBAs and mechanical assemblies that do not meet quality standards. This role requires strong soldering skills, the ability to read engineering documentation, and experience performing precision repairs with hand tools and specialized equipment.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure IPC workmanship standards and customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Experience soldering and reworking electronic assemblies.
• Ability to read assembly documentation and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with ESD handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform component-level rework and touch-up on PCBAs including SMT and through-hole components.
• Remove and replace electronic components using soldering irons and hot air rework stations.
• Repair lifted pads, damaged traces and solder bridges.
• Perform wiring modifications and engineering changes per documentation.
• Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Use microscopes and inspection equipment to identify defects and verify repair quality.
• Document rework activity in manufacturing systems or travelers.
• Support debug and test teams by troubleshooting assembly failures.
