Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Quality Inspector in Tualatin, OR, on a contract-to-hire basis. You will perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure PCB and solder joint quality per IPC-610 standards, using SAP to guide methods and record results.

Preferred candidates have IPC-610 certification, experience with AS9100 environments, and hands-on use of optical comparators and microscopes to inspect tiny parts. This role emphasizes precision, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• IPC-610 certification is highly desirable.
• AS9100 quality environment experience is preferred.
• Experience using optical comparators for dimensional inspection.
• Hands-on microscope work for detailed visual inspection of small components.
• Comfort working with PCBs and electronic components in precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test small parts during first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Work from drawings and specs to perform accurate inspections.
• Verify product compliance against dimensional and customer specifications.
• Follow inspection methods documented in SAP ERP system.
• Ensure outgoing shipments match part numbers and PO requirements.
• Generate Defective Material Reports for nonconforming products.
• Use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, microscopes, and optical comparators for measurement.
• Promote continuous improvement of quality processes and inspection methods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inspection area.
