Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Milford, OH is seeking a PCB Assembler to join our contract-to-hire team. You will assemble PCBs, sub-assemblies, and full product systems according to drawings and work instructions, and perform precision soldering of SMT and through-hole components.

You will read schematics, test prototypes, assist engineers, and use hand tools and bench equipment. The role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently in a small, focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in electronic assembly or production (small-scale or prototyping environment preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, focused team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCBs, sub-assemblies, and full product systems according to assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Perform precision soldering of surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components.
• Wire, crimp, and route cables/harnesses within devices as required.
• Operate hand tools, soldering irons, and other bench equipment.
• Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical tests on prototypes and production units to confirm performance and reliability.
• Assist engineers during prototype builds by testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies to pinpoint and correct issues.
