Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build, fit, and install mechanical components on the shop floor in Bloomfield, CT. You will follow prints and work instructions, use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to ensure assemblies meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, documenting production data, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies per drawings and instructions.
• Use hand and power tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
• Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, deburring, and fastening as needed.
• Align parts using jigs, fixtures, or precision tools.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and work orders.
• Record assembly data and non-conformances; communicate issues to teams.
