Aerotek seeks an Electronic Assembler for a contract-to-hire role in Sunbury, OH. You will read and interpret drawings, assemble and solder PCB and mechanical subassemblies, and perform precision work under magnification.

The environment is climate-controlled with first-shift hours and a focus on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include selecting components, preparing surfaces, testing assemblies, and documenting improvements.

Formación

• 1+ years of PCB assembly experience using electronic components
• 1+ years of soldering or wire harnessing experience
• 1+ years of J-Standard electronic assembly experience including microscope work
• Proficiency in electronic assembly techniques including soldering to J-Standard quality requirements
• Reading and interpreting schematics, drawings and wiring diagrams
• Ability to perform go/no-go testing and inspection to verify conformance to specifications
• Attention to detail with small components and tight tolerances

Responsabilidades

• Read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, work orders and instructions with limited supervision
• Select electronic components based on specifications and assembly instructions
• Assemble electronic and mechanical products and subassemblies using hand tools and soldering equipment
• Clean parts and prepare soldering surfaces for bonding
• Perform assembly under a microscope or magnifying device with very fine wires and small components
• Use jigs/fixtures to maintain alignment during assembly and soldering
• Operate equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, leak/vacuum systems, voltmeters, ohmmeters, ovens
• Attach hardware and route wires between components
• Measure parts to verify tolerances with calipers/micrometers
• Test and inspect completed units to meet specifications and standards
• Document process improvements and engineering change requests
• Collaborate with supervisors/engineers to review work and resolve issues
• Produce parts efficiently with minimal waste and rework
• Assemble components and products per documented procedures on a daily basis
