Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a production painter to perform layout, setup and alignment of painting processes in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include surface prep, applying primers and paints, and using brushes and spray guns with attention to color matching and finish quality.

The role requires reading and following work orders, basic math for measurements, and the ability to stand long shifts in a loud, active environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• High school diploma or general education degree and basic manufacturing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Layout, setup and alignment of painting process.
• Surface preparation and marking areas to be filled.
• Apply hardener and filler to unfinished areas and spray primer/paint.
• Operate brushes and spray guns for touchups and finishing.
• Inspect painted surfaces for finish consistency and color matching.
• Follow work orders and maintain safety with respirator PPE.
