Job summary

Sysco is seeking a warehouse associate in San Antonio to accurately pick products from slots based on customer orders and prepare orders for shipping. You will stack, label, and organize pallets while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires lifting 10–100 lbs, standing 10–12 hours daily, and working in cooler/freezer temperatures. Prior warehouse experience is a plus and adherence to GMP and SQF policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly.
• Work in extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Stand for 10–12 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels on product.
• Operate an electric pallet jack to move to correct slot location and transport product to dock for staging.
• Handle products with the necessary care.
• Report any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Assist in the clean-up of the facility and sign off on the daily cleaning area.
• Sign in and out for all equipment when used.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems, instructions, etc.
• Adhere to GMP, personal hygiene, and SQF policies as described in Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
