Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Rochester, MN is seeking a Fabrication Technician to fabricate orthoses and prostheses with focus on fit, function and cosmetics. The role requires staying current with new fabrication techniques and materials, and using appropriate equipment.

You will perform fabrication and repair to meet quality standards, occasionally train peers, and may lead team activities. A HS diploma or technical degree in orthotics/prosthetics is required, with OSHA/HIPAA compliance training emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, and 1 year experience with machinery/tools/woodworking/fabrication. OR
• Without high school diploma/GED, 2 years experience in O&P environments with machinery/tools/fabrication. OR
• A technical degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices per company standards.
• Train associate fabricators and peers several times a week.
• Occasionally act as informal team lead within their workstream.
• Assist with ordering/receiving and inventory tasks as assigned.
• Work on three to four device types within a general orthotic or prosthetic workstream.
• Maintain 5S and a safe, clean, orderly work environment.
• Adhere to OSHA requirements and HIPAA training.
