Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with attention to detail and precision.
• Good visual acuity and manual dexterity for small parts and fittings.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Ability to read testing/measuring instruments and document results.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and calculations.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate orbital weld system under supervision.
• Set up mechanical systems and changeovers for orbital welding machines.
• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain clean work areas.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and supervisor directions.
• Work from schedules, blueprints, and product specs to assemble components.
• Fit and align parts to meet customer specs and workmanship standards.
• Identify deviations that could interrupt productivity and escalate.
• Maintain logs and inspection records; verify dimensions with gauges.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop welding processes as needed.
• Support team in achieving quality and on-time delivery goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
