Zusammenfassung

Thorlabs in Newton, NJ is seeking an Inspector to ensure vendor and manufacturing compliance to ISO9001 standards. You will inspect precision optics and mechanical components, performing pass/fail decisions under metrology tools and microscopes.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read drawings, and documentation in the Manufacturing Database. On-site duties may travel to other Thorlabs locations and require PPE and safe handling of chemicals.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year experience in a similar position preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to learn sampling plans and interpret dimensional tolerances from drawings.

Aufgaben

• Inspect visuals and dimensional aspects of precision parts.
• Identify non-conformances using specified inspection methods.
• Maintain records in the Manufacturing Database.
• Perform pass/fail decisions, often under microscopes.
• Interact professionally with peers and vendors to ensure quality.
