MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking an Optics Fabricator in Irvine, CA. You will partner with Production, Engineering, Planning, and others to manufacture world-class precision optics, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

This role requires executing polishing, inspection, and testing tasks to ensure high-quality parts. Responsibilities include operating polishing machines, reading technical drawings, verifying surface quality, and performing maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and literacy required.
• Good communication skills needed for teamwork.
• Enthusiasm for collaborative work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple polishing and generating machines for optical materials (e.g., fused silica, CaF2).
• Read routers and engineering drawings to understand part specs and processes.
• Test optical parts using interferometers, calipers, and micrometers.
