Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on production/manufacturing or knowledge of mechanics, electronics or vacuum systems.
• Strong reading and interpretation of technical drawings and specs.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail with delicate optical components.

Responsibilities

• Clean components and monitor vacuum chamber for coatings.
• Load components, operate vacuum chamber for various coatings.
• Select and measure chemicals for deposition.
• Assist in creating and revising optical work instructions.
• Test coatings with spectrophotometers and record data.
• Perform periodic chamber maintenance and cleaning.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
