Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specs.
• Experience with polishing optics and precision surfaces is a plus.
• Comfort with multi-axis CNC machines and polishing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality; safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC and polishing machines per lens specifications.
• Mount and calibrate workpieces and tooling using fixtures; ensure proper alignment and grip.
• Mix and apply polishing compounds according to formula.
• Polish optics to specified tolerances; perform accuracy checks with precision tools.
• Document results and monitor machine performance; troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and participate in continuous improvement.
