Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in New Jersey is seeking an Optical/Laser Cleaner and Aligning Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift. You will clean, align, test, and evaluate optical components under controlled supervision, using instrumentation and SOPs.

The role requires 2–5 years in precision parts assembly, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and US citizenship. ISO9001/AS9100 experience and cleanroom exposure are preferred as part of a demanding aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience with precision parts assembly methods.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience in cleanrooms (ISO Class 4–7) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets operation sheets, drawings, diagrams, schematics, blueprints and instructions.
• Inspects in-process assemblies as part of methods of operations.
• Analyzes data with specifications through data logs and work instruction sheets.
• Calculates correct alignment moves based on data readouts.
• Cleans hardware of various materials with solvents.
• Works under microscopes to assemble, align, rework, repair, wire, test and calibrate optical products.
• Maintains logbooks, tolerance sheets, shop orders and documentation.
• Communicates with engineers, managers and technicians on process status and issues.
