Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in New Jersey is seeking an Optical/Laser Cleaning Technician to clean and prepare precision optical products in an ISO-5 cleanroom.

You will interpret drawings, inspect assemblies under a microscope, and maintain documentation while collaborating with engineers and technicians.

The role requires 2–5 years in optical/laser parts assembly, HS diploma (associate preferred); offers wage range $25–$38 hourly and benefits including insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• 2–5 years experience with optical/laser precision parts assembly.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in ISO Class 4–7 cleanrooms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets operation sheets, drawings, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Inspects in-process assemblies under a microscope.
• Cleans hardware with various solvents.
• Works under microscopes to test and calibrate optical products.
• Maintains logbooks, tolerance sheets, and work orders.
• Communicates process status with engineers and technicians.
• Performs other tasks directed by management.
